Legion Baseball Season

Ages
What aged players are appropriate for this program?
We use graduation class year more than ages for Legion baseball in Alabama. Ninth grade (Class of 2028) players and younger for JV, Eleventh grade (Class of 2026) and younger for Varsity. Class of 2025 and some age eligible 2024 Class players and younger can play in the 19U division.
When
What time of the year does this program run?
Season begins with tryouts in April/May, season begins 1 June and runs until mid-July.
Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
Practices and home games are played at the local area. Games may be played across the state on weekends.
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
Teams practice schedule is at their discretion.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Teams will play 20-30 games over the course of the season and will usually fall on the one night during the week and one day on weekends.
Jerseys
Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?
Club jerseys are usually furnished as part of the player fee.
2025 Summer Season
The Summer Baseball season officially begins on June 1st of each year. It ends with the state tournament in mid-July. The 19U state champion moves to the Regional Championship tournament.
